Solution - #1 version

For the past few weeks, we have been brainstorming and developing a solution to help people gradually add new foods to their diet.

To better understand the needs of the user and the steps they must go through in order to complete a successful process, we used our "perfect assistant" scenario and the 4 steps flow. This allowed us to optimize the process and include all the necessary features and steps in our solution.

Our initial solution is as follows:

A smart tray that is designed to help users gradually introduce new foods into their diet by building a customized ladder of activation stages based on their individual needs and preferences. The process of using the product involves the following steps:

  1. The user fills out an onboarding questionnaire, sharing the food they want to start eating and providing information about their current feelings, thoughts, and fears regarding this food. The device receives this data, analyzes it, and creates a set of steps that are tailored to the user's needs.

  2. The user can then press the start button on the device. The display screen shows the user the steps they need to take and indicates their current position on the scale.

  3. As the user works through each step, they are supported by positive reinforcement from the device. The system waits for the user to signal that they have completed the current step.

  4. If the user signals that they have completed the step, the system asks for feedback on their feelings during the process (using a scale of 1-5). If the user does not respond after several minutes, the system initiates a relaxation process to help the user relax and be present and attentive.

  5. If the user successfully completes the stage and provides positive feedback on their feelings, the next time they turn on the device, they will see that they have advanced to a more advanced step and are closer to completing the process. If the user does not complete the task or experiences negative feelings or discomfort, the system adjusts the scale accordingly, allowing the user to try the same step again until they feel comfortable with it.

  6. Once the user has completed all the steps on the scale, they have finished the process with that particular food. They can then start the process again with a different food.
